About The Event
Enjoy a fun day of getting your hands dirty to help restore a section of Lords Creek in Irasburg. Curious about what it takes to build up a riparian area (land bordering a water body) to make our waterways more resilient? Come learn about the Trees for Streams program developed and promoted by the Vermont Association of Conservation Districts which assists landowners in planting trees in riparian areas to help protect water quality. These projects are typically grant funded and an efforts initiated by a property owner or a community to restore a specific riparian area along a tributary.
Stream buffer planting projects help protect water quality!
